Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of the Town of Wilkesboro will hold a Public Hearing on Monday:, August 31, 2026 at 5:3·0 pm at Wilkesboro Town Hall, 203 W. Main St., Wilkesboro, NC, to receive public comment regarding a proposed amendment to, Section 156.415 -Stormwater Protection of the Town of Wilkesboro Zoning Ordinance. The proposed amendment is intended to revise stormwater regulations and permitting thresholds applicable to development activities within the Town of Wilkesboro and its extraterritorial jurisdiction. The amendment is being considered following the Town Council's adoption of a temporary moratorium to evaluate and align local stormwater requirements with applicable state regulations. All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and present comments concerning the proposed amendment.
